Yang Bai obtained his BS in chemistry from Beihang University in 2013 and his Ph.D. in chemistry in 2017 from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) working in the lab of Professor Shihe Yang. Following a position as a Postdoctoral Fellow at HKUST, he began his career as a faculty member in the School of Materials Science & Engineering at the Beijing Institute of Technology in 2018.

Yang is engaged in research focusing on perovskite materials for optoelectronics and has published more than 80 papers in journals such as Science, Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., Adv. Energy Mater., Chem. Soc. Rev., with a total citation of 8000 and an H-Index of 40.
